Prof. Adrian Covic is a specialist in nephrology, PhD, universitary pro­fessor, Vice-Rector Research, Grigore T. Popa University of Me­dicine and Pharmacy, Iasi, Romania. He attended Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Iasi, Romania, where he later joined the faculty. In 1999, he became head of the Dialysis and kidney transplant section at the C. I. Parhon hospital, Iasi, Romania, advancing to director in 2003. In 2005, he became president of the Romanian Society of Nephrology. In 2012 he became head of a Nephrology clinic.

Interested in improving survival of the renal patients through a better understanding of the various pathways: anemia, CKD-MBD, vascular damage, (over)hydration. Interested in improving the Romanian scien­ti­fic climate. Deep passion for clinical research and fostering the best conditions for developing researcher skills in young collaborators. He is author of 722 of published scientific papers.
