In 1994, he completed his PHD in Molecular Genetics with his dissertation entitled: Investigation of BCR-ABL and ABL-BCR Hybride Genes by RT-PCR and Southern Blotting Methods in Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, at the Erciyes University. Since 1997, he is an Associate Professor and since 2003, he is Professor at the Faculty of Medicine Department of Medical Genetics at the same university.
Between 2004-2010 he was the Vice Dean and now he is Vice Director of Health Sciences Faculty at Erciyes University. His research areas include: Health Sciences, Medicine, Internal Medicine Sciences, Medical Genetics, Basic Sciences, Life Sciences, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Genetic Disorders, Genomics, Molecular Biology of Cancer, Cytogenetic. He is author of hundreds of published scientific papers and his H-Index (WOS) is 13.
